ABOUT US

Londell & Peyton Smith co-founded The Smith-Jones Family Foundation in 2018, as a broadly based non-profit organization whose purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Our current and future programming/services are in direct alignment with the following values:

Be Safe. Promote and support the awareness, education and implementation of programs, activities and products that promote personal (and family) protection.

Be Smart. Inspire, encourage and support personal, educational, social, mental, physical, financial and spiritual  development, and social responsibility.

Be Well. Support individuals (and/or families) needing food, clothes, shoes, personal hygiene, toiletry and other healthy lifestyle-related support. Resources will also be made available to support individuals (and/or families) in need of shelter and/or transportation. The public release of names of beneficiaries is at the sole discretion of the Foundation.

Be Informed. Develop, promote and support the dissemination of information, via print media, traditional radio/television-based programming, internet/social media and other communication mediums.

Be Exposed. Support efforts to expose individuals (and/or families) to opportunities available in and/or outside of their immediate environment.

Be Prepared. The College Success Workshop is designed for incoming college freshmen, non-traditional students and students on academic probation. The Workforce Development Program is available to individuals seeking to improve their skills as they enter/re-enter the workforce. The Leadership Development Program is offered to individuals that desire to develop/increase their leadership skills. Resources will also be available to promote and make referrals to activities and programs offered by other agencies/organizations.

Be Included. Support individuals (and/or families) needing extracurricular activity registration support. Support is limited and based on the individual’s/family’s demonstrated need. The public release of names of beneficiaries is at the sole discretion of the Foundation.

Please note that the described programs and/or services may change annually depending on priorities and available financial resources.
