2025 "BE GREAT" Book Scholarship Finalists (Lima/Allen Co. & Toledo)
“Be Great” Book Scholarship
This $1,000 book scholarship ($500 Fall Semester & $500 Spring Semester) is available to graduating high school seniors, and is renewable up to four (4) consecutive years. This scholarship will be applied directly to your individual student account. The scholarship application, and the required documents must be submitted via email to [email protected], by the designated due date listed on the application. An Independent Selection Committee will review and assess the scholarship applications, and the Award Finalists will be announced in mid April. Applications are available in each eligible High School Guidance Counselor's Office, or you can download an application below.
To date, we have awarded over $40,000 in total scholarship awards. One individual from Lima/Allen County and one indiviaul from Toledo will be selected as the 2025 "Be GREAT" Book Scholarship Award winners. Each of the remaining finalists (from both communities) will receive a one-time award.
Eligibility Standards
1. Current high school senior graduating from:
3. Must complete and submit the scholarship application, and all required documents in a timely manner
4. Must be a full-time student, enrolled in an accredited 2 or 4 year college, university, technical or trade school (award will be applied directly to your student account)
5. Must start classes this fall (2025), and complete consecutive semesters
6. In order to renew this award, you must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 at the end of each semester, and attend the Awards Banquet
General Instructions to Applicant
1. Read the Application Packet thoroughly
2. Make a copy of the blank application form and complete a draft copy first
3. Make sure you answer each question, and provide the required documents
4. Return a typed or neatly printed application to the above email address by the designated deadline. This application is the first, and only impression that you will make upon those who review/award this scholarship

- -Any Toledo Public, Catholic or Charter School, and the Toledo School for the Arts
